As a yoga student I found the video Strong Bones Yoga very easy to follow. It is paced well, each segment flows perfectly into the next segment. The adaptations were very helpful as I was learning. I felt very accepted that this practice was just for me.

I was referred to SoundYoga by a co-worker in late 2000, after suffering several months of back pain complicated by sciatica. I knew right away that I was a good "match" with the Viniyoga tradition, because of its emphasis on personalized practice and healing. I have been taking classes faithfully, 2 or 3 times a week, for about eighteen months now, and I have NO MORE BACK PAIN. Attending class regularly has also helped me become more calm and focused: a huge benefit, given the stress I routinely face in my job. I can't say enough good things about the teachers at SoundYoga. Each has her own unique style, and it's obvious that they all truly care about each student's experience and growth. I feel very fortunate to have made this connection -- it has had a significant, positive impact on my life.

After retiring from the Air Force two years ago, I found that I needed to decrease stress, and increase my strength and flexibility. Taking care of grandkids, gardening and volunteer activities are hard work (and I thought that retirement would be easy!). I had studied yoga in the past and looked for a studio here. The Viniyoga style taught at SoundYoga is excellent for all levels of students and the experienced instructors helped me chose the right combination of classes to meet my goals. I feel better than I did ten years ago and am continuing to improve under their teaching. I highly recommend SoundYoga for anyone interested in the benefits yoga can provide.

Doing Yoga at work changes my perspective for the rest of the day. It keeps me on an even keel, helps me to slow down and reprioritize my day. I have high blood pressure that is usually around 140/90. After Yoga class it is 127/72. My doctor says I should do yoga every day.

I LOVE taking a Yoga break during the workday. I emerge refreshed, rested, renewed and ready to tackle whatever lies on my desk. I don't have a mid-afternoon slump -- or an urge to nap! I move better, and I feel better.
Cheryl Sjoblom Providence Health System
Sound Yoga provides corporate programs that bring health, wellness, and relaxation dimensions to the employees of an organization. Chris Dormaier of Sound Yoga taught a yoga session at Providence Health Systems corporate office, and, in addition, several of my staff members and I attended a weekend workshop presented by Sound Yoga. Each person experienced individual benefits from the postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. I would highly recommend bringing such a program into any corporate setting.
